Since graduating from The National Institute of Circus Arts I have been performing, teaching and writing all over the world. It has been a whirlwind of big stages, strong fishnets and even stronger suitcases. My velvet travel hoop bags have become well known to friendly oversize baggage handlers in some airports and Eurostar stations and I have become friendly with the globetrotter luggage company - forever trying to convince them to make me an ambassador.

I worked with the Olivier Award winning La Soiree for 7 years and performed on 5 different versions of the Got Talent TV show. I really do love cheesy TV. I have only made it onto one Japanese game show, but I hope there will be more in my future.

In 2008 I was based in New York where I played Josephine Baker in a beautiful spiegeltent every night, but more importantly for me, I had dinner at Chez Josephine every Friday with Jean Claude Baker who told me endless stories about his adopted mother. This sparked a life long love for all things Josephine Baker, her amazing performances, costumes, and her even more impressive work off stage through war times and the civil rights movement.

I have also been lucky enough to perform with Dita Von Teese in some of her incredible shows, and in 2022 we both performed at Bal De La Rose in Monaco - I was wearing custom Louboutin high heeled skates no less! She is a great inspiration, phenomenal business woman and such a hard worker. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her and learn so much from her.

Since I started performing nearly all my costumes have been made by Ms. Edgeley - my ride or die. She has always managed to turn even the most illogical of ideas into wearable outfits. We speak every day on the phone and I don't know what I would do without her. Also I would have no clue what make up or skin care products to use, she is an absolute wealth of information.

I have collaborated with various brands over the years but my favourite pieces are my 2 signature skate models with Impala Rollerskates and my custom rollerblades with Powerslide. I have skated since I was 2 and am currently teaching my own 2 year old the joys of having wheels on your feet.

Most of the pictures on this website and any of my favourite pictures in general have been taken by Jo Duck - Melbourne's best kept secret. I have dragged her to most of the countries I have worked in to capture fun moments, because Jo is the funnest. I am looking forward to our retrospective exhibition sometime in the next 50 years.

In 2022 I was inducted into the Guinness World Record Hall of Fame - solidifying my love of chasing world records. I have broken over a dozen and continue to encourage anyone I meet to try one!

My performance troupe; Marawa's Majorettes are based in London and have been performing for over 10 years now. They work with hoops and on skates and occasionally fly through the air. They too have caught my love of world records and the group have now broken over 20 records between them! More about The Majorettes here.

I trained in a range of circus skills at NICA, specialising in Swinging Trapeze, but I knew my future was with hoops—super portable, super fun and anyone can get involved, any age, anywhere in the world with just a little bit of practice. I’ve performed and taught hula hooping in Nepal, New York, North Korea, Melbourne, Zagreb, Spain, London, Paris, Poland, Mexico, Monaco, Somalia and LA. I feel really lucky to have done this and to have made many great friends along the way.
